Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook. And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. 1 Kings 17:2-7 NKJV

Elijah was commanded by God to proclaim a drought, and it came to pass.
As the nation suffered, God protected His prophet.
Elijah was led to the Brook Cherith, where God provided for him through ravens.
This miraculous provision of food and water reminds us of God’s faithfulness to care for us in seasons of dryness and scarcity.
The will of God will never lead us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.
The will of God will never lead us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.
As strange as it sounds to be fed twice daily by ravens, Elijah obeyed the word of the Lord and trusted Him to work out the details. And God did! He always does.
The ravens came because God commanded them to.

Sometimes, we face moments when we feel cut off, much like Elijah in the wilderness.
Yet, just as God sent ravens to feed him, He will also sustain us in our times of need.

Elijah’s trust in God shows us that no situation is too dire for Him to intervene and provide.
The lesson here is simple: trust in God’s provision, even when the future seems uncertain.
God is always watching over His children and knows our needs before we even ask.
