Merry Christmas Hopeland! We’ve got the best of Christmas markets, carols, lights, community events and church services all in the one place.
Carol’s Christmas Calendar is here to help you get connected with what’s happening in your local community and connect you with the people and places you can celebrate Christmas this season. Our Christmas Calendar is a community service providing churches and not-for-profit community groups free publicity for upcoming Sydney Christmas events.

Carols in the Park – Merrylands
Come and celebrate Christmas with us at our free community carols event. There will be children’s activities, a sausage sizzle, cultural dance performances, carols and fireworks.
Bring your picnic rug and enjoy food, fun and festivities under the stars.
All are welcome.
Carols Fair & Carols – Peakhurst
Come to the fair from 6 pm and enjoy inflatable rides, pony rides, an animal farm, Christmas craft, face painting, temporary tattoos – all free.
Plus sausage sizzle, drinks, fairy floss, popcorn, coffee and illuminated glowsticks for sale.
Stay for the Carols from 8 pm.
Carols at Sunset – Chatswood
Carols at Sunset is an evening of traditional Christmas carols, music items and readings. This is a wonderful opportunity to sing your favourite carols, accompanied by the pipe organ and guest musicians, and celebrate the message of Christmas.
There will be a short talk towards the end of the service to help us reflect on the significance of Christmas. It’s a truly special evening and you don’t want to miss it! All are welcome – so please bring along some friends.
The service will run from 7–8 pm, and will be followed by supper in the foyer.
Carols in the Park – North Ryde
Christmas Carols program suitable for kids, families and the community.
We’ll have live music and Santa Claus with lollies. Bring a rug to sit on if you wish
Free sausage sizzle from 6:30 pm.
Carols will be indoors if wet weather.

The Light of Advent talks – Revesby
Join us at St Luke’s Revesby as we explore the true meaning of Christmas. Each Wednesday we will start off with supper then listen to a talk from Father John as we go deeper into the Advent season.
This event is held in the Parish Centre. Although the event is free, for catering purposes, please sign up online at the website below.
Two Days: Kids Club Circus Mania – Artarmon
2019 kids’ holiday club is back this Christmas at St Basil’s Artarmon Anglican Church. There will be 2 full days of games, drama, cooking, craft and much, much more! Join us for some circus mania as we look at the true King of Christmas.
The holiday club is for kids from kindy to year 6.
Bring along your lunch – morning and afternoon tea are provided.
The cost is $30 per day or $50 for 2 days per child. Please register online below.
Carols under the Star – Berowra
Carols under the Star is on again this year! Get into the Christmas spirit and come along to a great community night of carols, entertainment and fun! The event is hosted by the combined churches of Berowra and will be raising funds for Compassion.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase. There will also be market stalls, donkey rides, kids activities and glow candles.
Community Carols at Northmead Anglican
Loads of family fun and laughter, with classic Christmas carols, sausage sizzle and more.
Arrive at 6.30pm for dinner, with a jumping castle, face painting, balloon modelling, Christmas cookies and craft, fairy floss, glow sticks and special Christmas message. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy carols on the lawn from 7.30pm. There will be a free sausage sizzle, cans of drink, ice creams and glow sticks.
Parking: Park on Thomas St, Lombard St or Kleins Rd for best access to our site. Wheelchair and pram access via Lombard St.
North Rocks Carols By Candlelight – Carlingford
North Rocks Carols by Candlelight will be held once again at the end of the school term, and is the perfect way to gather with the local community and take a break from the Christmas rush. Join us for a fun and relaxing evening to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.
Family entertainment from 5pm includes:

Carols by Candlelight – West Pennant Hills
Bring the family and join the festive activities!
There’ll be jumping castles, carnival games, food and drink stalls, glow sticks, coffee carts, live camels, and heaps more! Many of the activities, including entry, are free of charge.
Family Festival runs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by Carols by Candlelight at 7:45 pm, with a special puppet show from Quizworx.
Oakhurst Carols Event
Oakhurst Anglican Church will be hosting a Carols Event featuring well renowned band Eternal Praise.
4 pm Family afternoon and BBQ
7 pm Carols Service
A great afternoon is planned with activities including jumping castle, giant slide, crafts and food.

Carols Under the Bridge – Milsons Point
It’s on again! Carols Under the Bridge in Bradfield Park is our biggest community event of the year, attracting some 5,000 people to the Kirribilli foreshores for a traditional, family friendly, community focussed, Christmas celebration. Come and celebrate the hope of Christmas with us and all of Kirribilli.
Carol singing will begin at 6pm, but please do join us from 5pm with your picnic dinner. Carols will cater for all ages, including our kids.
Come and celebrate God with us this Christmas, in a community space, run by community people against the breathtaking backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Community Family Carols & Fair – Peakhurst

2:30–4 PM Christmas Fair
Enjoy Face Painting, Jumping Castle, Children’s Zoo, Creative activities, Sausage Sizzle, Santa Photos and much more (activities are Free). Food and some market items have a small fee.
4–5 PM Carols
Carols at St Basil’s Artarmon
Bring a picnic rug, your friends and family and come celebrate Christmas with us. From 5 pm there will be food, kids’ activities and a fair atmosphere.
At 6pm we’ll start singing carols (or you can just sit back and enjoy the performance) and learn about the true King of Christmas.
This event is free, except for gold coin donations for food and drink.
Mt Colah Uniting Church Garden Carols and BBQ on the lawn
A community friendly Carols Concert and BBQ under the stars.
BBQ starts at 5 pm and the sausage sandwiches are free, or you can cook them yourself. There will be drinks for sale.
Bring a rug or chairs for Community Carols starting at 6 pm on the Church Garden Lawn.
Enthusiastic singers and non singers welcome. Song books provided.

Carols in the Bay – Neutral Bay
You’re invited to St Augustine’s annual Christmas Carols event – Carols in the Bay!
Carol singing will begin at 6 pm, but join us from 5 at this fantastic (and free!) community event.
Food and beverages available on site, so an easy invite and a great opportunity to spend time with friends and family in the lead-up to Christmas.
Christmas Family Celebration – Eastwood
Join us for a Family Christmas Celebration.
At 5 PM, join in with a Family Festival with a free BBQ, Jumping Castle, Face Painting, a chance to photograph your child in the Nativity (with real animals!) and more.

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Killara
Our beautiful “Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” will include the Brass Quintet and choristers from Cantillation joining our own St Martins choir.
It is based on the “Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” held in King’s College Cambridge on Christmas Eve each year, and arranged by our organist and choirmaster Chris Wagstaff
The service includes beautiful carols and traditional readings from the Bible. The opening carol is always ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, and the service includes special choral and soloist items.

Carols on the Green – Annandale
Village Church is proud to host Carols on the Green, in Annandale’s very own community space. Join us on the Green, and soak up the Christmas spirit. Enjoy a mixture of contemporary and traditional carols in an Inner West flavour as the community comes together to celebrate Christmas.
Dinner will be available on the Green, if you’d like to make a purchase.
