All this week, John North wants to look at the theme of lost and found, starting with the parable of the lost sheep, and asks “what was so wrong with Jesus spending time with tax collectors and sinners?”.

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
