Support Hope 103.2

As a non-profit organisation with no government funding or parent company support, we rely greatly on the support of those who want and need us the most – YOU, our listeners!

Why Support Hope 103.2?

Maybe you’d like to make a donation but would prefer to investigate it a bit further. Below are answers to some of the questions people ask when thinking about supporting Hope 103.2. If you still have questions that you wish to discuss, please contact us.

How we use your donations

Why do you ask for money?

Because Hope 103.2 is a listener-supported, not-for-profit radio station, it relies on the financial support of its listeners.

How do you spend the money people donate?

Donations support the daily operations of the radio station and also allow us to carry out necessary updates and maintenance of equipment.
A smaller percentage of the funds are spent on the operation of the station’s websites and digital media operations.

Are your accounts audited regularly?

Yes. Our accounts are audited once a year by chartered accountants Frank Clune & Son.

Security of online donations

Are online donations on Hope 103.2’s website safe?

You can donate online with confidence. The donations area of our website is protected by GeoTrust, the world’s second largest digital certificate provider on the internet.

How can I check that your website is secure?

Check that the website address on the top left corner of your browser starts with ‘https:’ (instead of the usual ‘http:’). The ‘s’ indicates you’re on a secure page.

You can also click on the GeoTrust icon at the bottom of the online donations page. You’ll be redirected to the GeoTrust website where you can check our identity.

I want to use my credit card but don’t want to use the website. Is there another way?

Yes! Donating online makes the process easier but if you prefer you can donate with a credit card over the phone or by fax. See our contact details.

Tax and donations

Are donations to Hope 103.2 tax-deductible?

Hope Media Limited is an Australian Taxation Office-endorsed ‘deductible gift recipient’ (DGR).

Any donations of $2 or more made by Australian residents to our organisation are normally tax-deductible. Please check with your tax advisor for your particular circumstances.

If you do not live in Australia, please check with your relevant tax department about deductibility of a donation to us.

Do you issue a tax receipt?

Yes, we do. Once a donation is confirmed, a tax receipt is sent by mail to the donor’s supplied postal or email address.

How long after the donation do you send the receipt?

Normally we send a receipt within 10 business days. After special fundraising events (Hope-A-Thon in November or June Appeal), when we receive a large volume of donations, it may take a little longer.

Methods of payment

How can I pay for donations?

You can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or Diners Club) either online, by fax or mail (using our Donation Form), or over the phone (In Australia please call 1300 36 1032, or +61 2 9854 7000 from anywhere).
