As you may know, our November 2023 appeal fell short. So, this week we came to you with a need.

The cost of living is high right now – and running a radio station is not immune. As a not-for-profit, community funded media organisation, we rely on listener funding – listeners who are also feeling the weight of the cost of living.

Hopeland, you hit the $300 000 target, by 2pm on Friday afternoon.

As we’ve seen this week, a lot can happen in three days. We weren’t sure how this pop-up appeal would go. We came to you with a need – and you got the job done!

To say we are grateful, is an understatement.

Community Relations Manager Justin Kendall perhaps said it best.

Saving lives

You’ve stepped up to support incredible causes bringing hope around the world.

In August over 30 000 refugee kids in Uganda were fed when we partnered with Feed the Hungry.

The Careline Connections service is a confidential, telephone help service for listeners who need encouragement, prayer or a listening ear.
