During the final Open House show for Sheridan Voysey it was announced that Sky News Reader Leigh Hatcher will be the show’s new host, beginning Sunday, May 1.
It was a bittersweet end to an amazing era as we farewelled Sheridan Voysey, creator and host of Open House, last Sunday night with a live show party with guests including singer-songwriter Andy Sorenson, The Gruen Transfer’s Jon Casimir, YouTube sensations Jayesslee, all in front of a live audience.
The sweet-ending came with the announcement of the new host – Leigh Hatcher.
Veteran journalist and broadcaster, Leigh Hatcher has had an extensive career in radio and television and has for the past 10 years worked as a presenter at Sky News Australia.
On his new appointment Leigh says ‘Though most of my career has been in television, radio has always been my first love and so much of my life, faith and work for nearly four decades will culminate in this amazing opportunity to host ‘Open House’.
Leigh replaces the founder of ‘Open House’, Sheridan Voysey who is heading overseas to live. Leigh will
take over as Open House’s new host on Sunday night, May 1 from 8pm to 11pm.
