When her father passed away, Lynne McGranger (who plays “Irene” in Channel 7’s Home and Away) decided to make a firm commitment to her faith. So she began tuning in to Hope 103.2 very early on in her spiritual journey and eventually joined the Hope 103.2 team as a Partner for Hope. We sat down with Lynne recently to ask her about her experience as a member of the team.
Hope: What motivated you to change from being a regular listener to becoming a financial supporter of Hope?
Lynne: I simply felt like I had the desire and ability to do something. I realise that it wasn’t about giving an enormous amount of money, and that a community station like Hope 103.2 needs financial support from its listeners.
Hope: Why did you choose to commit to monthly financial support, and become a Partner for Hope?
Lynne: I realised that, by partnering with this station monthly, I’m consistently helping reach people who need to be reached. And that’s so important because, as a believer, I know that’s what Jesus calls me to do.
There are so many people out there who can afford $20, $50 or $100 a month to keep this very important radio station going in Sydney. And I wanted to be one who answered the call to help!
Hope: What do you love about Hope’s mission to bring hope and comfort in the Gospel message through our broadcasting?
Hope 103.2 is proudly supported by
Lynne: I love that I get to be part of it!
