It is 50 years since the passing of Arthur Stace – Sydney’s celebrated Mr Eternity.

For 30 years following his dramatic conversion Arthur Stace chalked the pavements of Sydney and country NSW with a single word – Eternity.

At the turn of the millennium the City of Sydney took his message to the world, writing it in lights on the Harbour Bridge.

Arthur Stace spent the last few years of his life in the care of a Hammondcare nursing home. On the fiftieth anniversary of his passing Hammondcare residents celebrated his life with a special morning tea of rock cakes?

Why rock cakes? On Open House we asked Hammondcare’s Acting CEO David Martin.
