More than half of Gen Z (54 per cent) and 45 per cent of Gen Y seek praise for their contributions at least a couple of times per week (compared with 28per cent Gen X and 17 per cent Baby Boomers).

Balancing feedback and growth
Beyond the desire for praise, younger generations also exhibit a strong appetite for constructive feedback.
Specifically, 58 per cent of Gen Z seek guidance on how to improve their roles, indicating a proactive approach to enhancing their skills (compared with 45 per cent Gen Y, 25 per cent Gen X and 20 per cent Baby Boomers).

Regular discussions about career advancement hold particular importance for Gen Z (38 per cent) and Gen Y (29 per cent), signifying a generational shift towards proactive career development.
In contrast, Gen X (11 per cent) and Baby Boomers (4 per cent) display a less pronounced inclination towards frequent career conversations.
