On the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, devastation and displacement remain, and there’s no end in sight.
Hope Breakfast duo Ally & Brendan have regularly checked in with missionaries Rhonda and Mark Blessing, and on the eve of the anniversary, they wanted to speak with them and see how they’re going.
“In our village hundreds of men are still getting the call up to fight. People are asking, why is this going on so long?” – Rhonda Blessing
As part of their mission, Mark & Rhonda provide soldiers with a pocket-sized New Testament Bible to comfort them on the battlefield, they also open their home to soldiers to share a meal, pray and have a safe place for a time.
Rhonda spoke of the importance of prayer and the presence prayer has in their lives and the lives of those in their church. They have asked for prayer in the following areas:
- For the war to end
- That many soldiers would come to find Jesus Christ as their saviour
- God would give Mark & Rhonda the words and opportunity to share with the soldiers that come to their home
