NAIDOC Week is a moment for our nation to celebrate our Indigenous people and culture, and friend of Hope, Brooke Prentis extended an open invitation to all Australians.
With this year’s theme, “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!”, Brooke joined Hope Breakfast duo Ally & Brendan to have an in-depth conversation about what that means. Brooke is an Aboriginal Christian leader and company director with a vision to build an Australia built on truth, justice, love and hope.
During the conversation, Brooke encouraged us to take the week’s celebrations as an opportunity to “learn from our neighbours”, to celebrate our Indigenous people and culture, and to “love, respect and listen”.
“As Christians we need to come together and walk softly and gently across God’s wonderous creation every day which is also part of our Acknowledgment of Country,” Brooke said.
