During the pandemic the demand on Parramatta Mission’s services has increased dramatically.
Suppling meals, accommodation and mental health support to Greater Western Sydney, the not-for-profit organisation has seen many more people within their community reach out for support, and rely on them through a season of unending uncertainty.
Parramatta Mission also saw a drop in financial support, along with the increased need, as many of their donors were understandably affected by their own financial hardships and budget pressures.
This led Parramatta Mission to launch their new online op-shop, ReInspired Threads.
The store offers high quality, second-hand clothing sourced from schools, churches, clubs and various associations who deliver the clothes to Parramatta Mission for laundering and assessment. In turn, profits go to fund the work of the organisation, and reusable clothes are prevented from going into landfill.
