Don’t Forget Your Friends Who Were Already Struggling Before the Pandemic

Listen: Ally Barnes on Hope Breakfast

In a short but vital little reminder, Hope Breakfast producer Ally Barnes took a moment in the weekly segment known as Recommendations, to remind us to look out for our friends during the Coronavirus shutdown.

Not only those who are struggling with job losses and cancelled activities, but those who already had major life challenges on their plate – such as difficult marriages, mental illness, addiction, infertility, chronic illness, fractured families, custody battles, financial turmoil and more.

“I know it feels like some of those problems should go away in amongst this, but they don’t,” said Ally. “Call them up, send them regular text messages… Pick up that phone, touch base and see how they’re going—and ask how you can pray for them.”
