Listen: Dr Stan Tatkin in conversation with Stephen O’Doherty
Psychologist and author Stan Tatkin uses psychology, brain science, instinct and biology to understand what’s really going on in relationships.
Interestingly, he says science supports the idea that we are hard-wired for relationship, and indeed hard-wired to pair with one other significant person.
Over the last 15 years he has developed an approach to relationship counselling which harnesses research in neuro science, attachment theory and the biology of arousal.
The approach is called PACT, an acronymn for Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy.
He outlined his science of relationships on Open House.
