Listen: Pam Lobley chats to Hope Breakfast crew Sam and Duncan.

Pam Lobley has been a columnist and writer for many publications, including the New York Times and Huffington Post.

She’s also the author of a new book Why Can’t We Just Play?: What I Did When I Realized My Kids Were Way Too Busy.

Pam joined Sam and Duncan on Hope Breakfast to explain why she embarked on a summer with absolutely no scheduled activities for her sons. No swim team, no camps, no soccer, no art classes.

She set out to give her seven and ten year old sons an old-fashioned summer of just playing and learnt a lot about how to slow down family life and savour time with the kids.
