A teenage boy has died in a house fire in Sydney’s south-west.

There were 30 firefighters called to Macquarie Fields early this morning, who found the two-storey town house well alight.

Firefighters said they were told the boy was inside, but they couldn’t get to him.

More than 20 new venues across Sydney have been listed as COVID exposure sites.

They include gyms in Bondi Junction and North Strathfield and Bunnings at Ashfield.

New travel rules have been issued for people arriving in New South Wales from interstate as the number of COVID-19 infections grow.
