Imagine not being able to use Google for a day. It’s a strange thought, right?
Google has become such a big part of our society and our day-to-day work that the thought of not being able to search – or ‘google’ – information is almost concerning.
The tech giant has dominated news headlines this week, threatening to pull their search engine from Australian shores, due to a proposed news code, and also delaying the launch of their own news service.
Meanwhile, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has found the dominance of Google is creating headaches for publishers, advertisers and consumers.
Confused by the whole ordeal, Hope Breakfast’s Sam Robinson called on tech expert Geoff Quattromani from the Technology Uncorked podcast to explain more including what a post-Google society may look like.
