Listen: Emma Mullings talks to Katrina Roe about preparing for Hurricane Dorian.
The hurricane that has killed five people and destroyed thousands of homes in the Bahamas, is now heading for the Florida coast – where former Hope announcer Emma Mullings lives with her family.
Recently downgraded from a Category 5 to a Category 4 hurricane, Dorian is still packing winds of 130 miles per hour.
Emma and her husband Terrence and their four children moved to Miami this year to begin work on planting a new church in the area, and they’ve spent the last few days preparing for the arrival of the hurricane.

Emma told Katrina Roe that locals have been buying up water, torches, tinned food and gasoline, in case of power and water outages – which could last up to several days.
However, there was one tiny element the Emma and Terrence were struggling to find at the shops: the screws they needed to attach their hurricane shutters.
In this interview Emma chats to Katrina about their preparations and asks for prayers for safety.
