A debate is circulating the internet, about the meaning of the numbers on toaster dials, and it got us talking here at Hope 103.2FM, over lunch.
Do the numbers on the toaster dial really refer to minutes of toasting time?
Is this true for all toasters, no matter the brand, make or model?
And have we all spent our lives not realising this until now?
To put the discussion to bed, Youtuber Tom Scott (creator of a series of wierd and wonderful videos titled “Things You Might Not Know”), has experimented with a range of toasters.
