For over 25 years, Virginia Haussegger AM has built a career as a journalist, writer and commentator. She anchored the ABC’s flagship TV News in Canberra for 15 years before leaving media to found the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation, which focusses on improving the representation of women in leadership across Australia.
Virginia was named ACT’s Australian of the Year. However, she is also in the midst of a battle with bowel cancer. Sam and producer, Georgia, sat down with Virginia to talk about gender inequality, her media career and how she remains positive while battling cancer.
