Amazing People – Jarrod Wheatley: Full-Time Care for High Needs Foster Children

By Hope 103.2Wednesday 22 May 2019Hope Breakfast with Sam & Duncan

Listen: Jarrod Wheatley chats to Sam and Duncan.

Jarrod Wheatley claims that two things get him out of bed in the morning: coffee and a supportive partner. However, his incredible work with foster children may come a close second.

As founder of Professional Individualised Care (PIC) , Jarrod Wheatley is working tirelessly to improve care for high needs foster children, by providing them with full time carers. PIC works to remove children from group home settings and place them in individual homes with full time carers, which improves their social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Jarrod is the 2019 recipient of Young Australian of the Year for NSW, and in a chat with Sam and Duncan, Jarrod shared how his work is helping foster kids get a better start in life.
