Darrin Batchelor is a policeman from Wollongong, who is encouraging his colleagues to jump out of planes.

Sounds crazy? It’s not. Darrin’s challenge is all in the name of cancer research fundraising. The Detective Inspector’s daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukaemia when she was 4 years old.

Cop Drop Skydiving Darrin chatted with Hope Breakfast’s Sam & Duncan (listen above) about how his whole perspective on what’s important in life, has completely changed.

On November 3, the second annual ‘Cop Drop’ is on. Police officers will be taking the ultimate plunge, sky diving to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute. Last year they raised $35,000, with this year’s goal set at $60,000.
