Listen: Jessica Gallagher chats to Sam & Duncan about her experiences of competing as a vision impaired athlete.

Jessica Gallagher is the first and only Australian athlete to win both summer and winter medals following the Rio Paralympics. A multi-talented athlete, she has represented Australia in three sports – alpine skiing, athletics and most recently track cycling up at the Commonwealth Games.

She was diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye disease in year 12 of school. Jessica could have been defined by that diagnosis. But she wasn’t.

She has gone on to become one of the most inspiring athletes in the country. And not just because she overcame incredible hardship – but because she continues to do so with humility and courage.

During Osteopathy Awareness Week (15th – 21st April), Jessica Gallagher has joined forces with Osteopathy Australia to encourage people to #GiveItAGo and in this interview, she offers advice on improving posture and preventing injuries.
