Through 4 years of soul-searching to now become an unexpected ambassador for women in business and start-up innovation, the COLLECTIVE’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief Lisa Messenger takes us into the secrets of her success and hallmarks of the journey.

Interview: 'the COLLECTIVE' Founder Lisa Messenegr

Starting her business life in sponsorship and events, and now celebrating 2 years of The Collective, Founder and Editor-in-Chief Lisa Messenger has fast become a voice for path-breaking business. Defying media predictions about the future of print with distributors in over 37 countries, and creating readership around positive storytelling, Lisa has gone from alcohol-dependent divorcee, to industry leader and global inspiration.

The transition hasn’t been without process though. In her new book Life and Love, and previous release Daring and Disruptive, Lisa is unashamedly open about the challenges she faced, and refreshingly specific about the life philosophies that have helped her turn the corner.

Talking with Laura Bennett on The Switch, Lisa shared the origin story of The Collective, and offered infectious insight into how she ‘found her why’, and what sets successful businesses apart.
