Many of us have read The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman and benefitted from this insightful book about communicating love.

But I had never thought about how Chapman’s languages of love impact upon people living with dementia, until aged care chaplain Ben Boland brought up Keeping Love Alive as Memories Fade, by Gary Chapman, Edward G Shaw and Debbie Barr.

As someone who has always wanted to improve how he cares for older people, Ben read this book about love languages and Alzheimer’s disease.

He told Hope Mornings what he learned and the help offered to anyone who loves someone on the Alzheimer’s journey.
