Usually at this time of the year, Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) run their men’s conference Basecamp in the Blue Mountains — and while it is still going ahead, organiser L-T Hopper said it would be “reluctantly different”, as it has moved to livestream due to COVID-19.
“There’s nothing like being in person with your mates,” Mr Hopper said. “We still wanted to take the opportunity to encourage men to get together locally.
“We’ll livestream as much as we can to make it as similar as usual and hope the guys will get together in person, in small groups, in local churches and houses.”
This year’s KCC Basecamp is on Saturday 8 August and themed ‘Man Disrupted: How Jesus Changes Men for the Better’.
