Grab your sunscreen, fold up chair and halftime oranges because weekend sport is back!
After two years of disruptions and cancellations, it’s great to see kids back out on the soccer fields, footy fields and netball courts. But team sport doesn’t happen without coaches – and often that coaching role falls to parents who may be feeling like they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
If that sounds like you, Sport Australia has launched a new online course – Community Coaching Essential Skills Course – to help community coaches find their way. Sport Australia’s Director of Coaching and Officiating Cameron Tradell joined Hope Drive to discuss the course and the importance of coaches in kids’ lives – beyond the sporting ground.
Listen to Cameron’s full interview on Hope Drive in the player above.
