My brother and I are Chinese-Australian.
Key points
- All religions may look the same, but with a deeper look, you will realise each one is unique. And Jesus offers something that isn’t found anywhere else.
We both played in the same rugby team at school.
And people thought we were amazing. “Who is this Chinese player? He’s everywhere!”
That’s because they didn’t know there were two of us. They thought we were the same player.
Why? Because … if I’m allowed to say it … “all Chinese look the same!”
But of course in reality this is not the case and if you get to know a Chinese person, you will quickly realise we are all so different, not just with looks.
But we do that when we say all religions are the same. On the surface they look the same. But once we get to know them, we realise they’re different.
If we get to know Jesus deeply – we realise he is not the same. He loves us so much – he died for us. That’s unique. That’s different. And unlike my brother and I, he really is everywhere.
He also would’ve been better at rugby. Why?
Because he would’ve had more … conversions!
(Boom! Tish! Thank you, I will be here all week)
