Esther Song has an amazing true story to share.

She is a member of the Opera Australia company, and in the modernised version of beloved production Carmen – that is being staged on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour – Esther is playing Frasquita.

She has only been an opera singer for a handful of years. As she told Hope Mornings, Esther dedicated a lot of time growing up to playing the cello but a singing performance at her church caused her to ask God for the gift of song.

The answer not only surprised and delighted Esther, you also will be stunned and inspired by what she did next. In the power of answered prayer.

Carmen on Cockatoo Island plays until December 18.
