Grammy-nominated American rock ‘n’ rollers NeedtoBreathe has generated over one billion streams in their multi-decade career.

They’ve sold-out arenas and amphitheaters all over the world, opened for Taylor Swift on her Speak Now tour, and now their 9th studio album CAVES has released marking a new sound for a new era.

The bands’ newest member Tyler Burkum – a Grammy nominee in his own right and one-time guitarist for Australian Missy Higgins – joined Hope 103.2’s UNDISTRACTED podcast to talk about the evolution of the band’s identity, creating a healthy creative culture and the unique bond they have with fans.

“We care so deeply about the fans that come to our shows,” Tyler said.

“It’s a big deal when people spend their money and their time, and I don’t ever want to take that for granted.

“I know we all have at different times in our lives taken it for granted, but thankfully we had the opportunity to wake up and [realise] this is really incredible.”
