Body Image Movement founder Taryn Brumfitt went viral in 2013 when she shared a before-and-after photo online that broke with convention: her “before” photo showed the results of a body building obsession she picked up after having kids, and her “after” photo showed her returning to a “normal body” with its lumps, bumps and natural tone.
Sparking a global conversation about body positivity and body image, Taryn went on to direct her first feature film Embrace in 2016, and has just released Embrace: Kids which confronts alarming statistics, stating around 60 per cent of children aged five to 11 years want to change something about their body.
