“I hope that these songs help you, the listener, draw closer to conversation with God,” Alexander said of his music.
“No matter where you are, when you choose to worship in that place along your journey, that place becomes a holy ground.
Significant historical revivals across different eras and geographies were all rooted in prayer, Alexander explains.
Alexander’s hope is that his music will “help you, the listener, draw closer to conversation with God.”
For him, prayer isn’t just about presenting petitions to God -it’s as an ongoing conversation, deepening your relationship with Him.
“The cornerstone of every move of God has been a revival in prayer,” he said.
“I’ve got faith to believe that we will see a move of God in our lifetime.”
Alexander’s song “A Great Awakening,” which he describes as a gift, serves as an instrument to reawaken all of us to the power of prayer.
His songs are essentially prayers set to music.
“I think there is such a hunger for songs of high praise and songs that speak truth,” he said and explained that he believes worship songs should give language to our emotions and spiritual aspirations.
Alexander’s latest single “Even Here, Even Now,” was recorded live at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas and features worship leader Jami Garcia.
The song serves as a prayer and a declaration of faith, and as a reminder that worship is not bound by circumstances and reminds us that whether we’re on the mountain top or in the valley, worship is transformational.
God’s presence can make any ground holy.
Whether we’re on the mountain top or in the valley, worship is transformational.
Everywhere he goes, Alexander’s music is transforming lives and we loved receiving your messages after Alexander’s chat with Brendan and Danniebelle on air.
“I really appreciated that this morning and needed it more than you know,” one listener said.
