Like you, the past few years also have been turbulent and challenging for emerging Australian country singer Shara Rose

Along with the pandemic, bushfires, floods, warfare and the parade of concerns we’ve been enveloped by, Shara had significant health issues.

Thankfully, Shara received the care she needed and is now on tour with Jason Owen, having already opened for Kiki Dee (Don’t Go Breaking My Heart) and performed at Tamworth Music Festival in April.

But as she told Hope Mornings, the night before recording her latest single Hold On, she was barely holding on, with intense stomach pain seeing her end up in hospital.

Diagnosed with endometriosis came as a shock – partly because Shara was surprised other women had not discussed this common condition with her.

Shara said she’s happy to discuss what she’s been through and how it has cemented the central thrust of Hold On.
