After 21 years, Fresh – Hope 103.2’s late high school and university aged edgy contemporary Christian music radio program – is finishing up on FM radio (9pm, Saturdays) to move completely online as a 24/7 stream featuring album reviews, playlists, and unique on-demand content.
Hope 103.2’s general manager Dwayne Jeffries said this “represents a shift in the listening habits and expectations of our Fresh audience”.
“We want to give our 16-24 year olds the music and content they want when they want it, and not have to wait until Saturday night to get it – when they usually aren’t at home listening to the radio anyway,” Mr Jeffries said.
In November 1999, the Saturday night show “Fresh” was launched, hosted by Andrew Morris, broadcasting two hours of new contemporary Christian music, aimed at a young audience. Over the years there has been a number of hosts including Andrew Morris, Erin LaMacchia, Sam Robinson, Laura Bennett, and its current host David “Esky” Esquen.
FRESH – playing the best new music discoveries and next generation of Christian artists since 1999. Everything from album features, pop culture and interviews, as well as trending new releases and hits from indie pop, alternative rock, worship and hip hop artists. Available 24/7 via your favourite device and on the free Hope media app from Google Play and Apple App stores.
