Local artist Vita Adam teams up with New Empire front-man Jeremy Fowler for her new single ‘You Come’.
Taken from her first full length album ‘White Horses’, Vita and Jeremy co-wrote the beautifully harmonised track ‘You Come’ inspired by Adams’ own times of difficulty:
“Based on the verse in the bible that says “Behold I stand at the door and knock”…[‘You Come’] took me back to when I did (and still do) go through dark times and my battle with anxiety. It talks about Gods grace and no matter your circumstance, your guilt, shame, darkness, pain or whatever it is that causes you to want to isolate yourself… Jesus comes. When you and I are broken, we are in the perfect position for Jesus to come and put us back together again, the way that he intended us to be in the first place.”
Migrating from Indonesia when she was 2 years old, Adams gained notoriety in the Australian scene with her ‘Real’ EP in 2009, before hit singles including ‘Runnin’, ‘Turn it Up’, and ‘Streetlights’, which peaked at #5 on The Rock Across Australia charts in 2011.
Performing at Easterfest and sharing the stage with The Newsboys, Vita is very intentional with her creativity and the platform it allows:
“I want to sing life over my audience, empower them and move them into changing the world around them…There is not a whole lot of positive messages coming off global music platforms right now & I am proud to be part of a wave of music that will claim back [that] territory. I am most passionate about bringing positive music to our generation.”
