De-throning Justice Crew from their long-running reign in the Australian charts top spot, Joel and Benji Madden have taken 1st place with their new single ’We Are Done’

Listen out for: The Madden Brothers 'We Are Done
From their upcoming album ‘Greetings from California’, ‘We Are Done’ is the brothers first release under The Madden Brothers title, following their success in the late nineties with punk-rock outfit Good Charlotte.

It’s a different sound to what early fans of ‘The Anthem’ and ‘Little Things’ would expect, departing from heavier angst-driven riffs to a more subtle 70’s inspired modern beach vibe.

“It’s about standing up for yourself” says Benji, “made to inspire people to speak up for themselves.”

Joel Madden in particular has become a household name thanks to his popularity on The Voice, which seems to be reflected in the response to the track.

‘We Are Done’ is catchy, happy, and adds some timely deep-thinking into the current pop landscape.

Listen out for it now on Hope 103.2, and on ‘Greetings from California’ due September 15.
