U2’s Spider-Man Musical Breaks Broadway Records

With a score composed entirely by U2’s Bono and the Edge, the ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark’ musical has broken Broadway records, becoming the highest single-week grossing show of all time.

Despite some struggles in it’s early days with poor critic reviews, and cast and crew departures, The Daily Telegraph reports that the production took in roughly $3 million over a nine-show period, which breaks the previous single-week grossing record held by the Wizard of Oz-inspired musical Wicked, which grossed $2.2 million over eight shows in 2011.

Aaron Shust’s “My Hope Is In You” longest running #1 hit on the AC Monitor Chart for 2011.

Remaining in the top spot for 8 weeks on the AC Monitor charts, Centricity Music artist Aaron Shust has reached a major career milestone with his hit track ‘My Hope is in You’.

From his debut Centricity Music album, ‘This is What We Believe’, the single also made #1 on the iTunes Single Christian chart last week, and is the longest running #1 for Shust as an artist, and the first #1 hit at AC radio for Centricity Music.
Shust’s follow-up single, “Risen Today” from This Is What We Believe, will be released for radio January 20, 2012.
