Have you ever been accused of something, or had someone make an incorrect assumption about you, and been caught up in the tension between letting the mistake slide and speaking up and pushing back?
Directed by Yelena Popovic (L.A. Superheroes, Cast Away), Man of God is based on the life of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, a renowned Orthodox minister, who was exiled from his community without trial or cause or right-of-reply, and slandered until his death by other church leaders who were concerned about the flourishing reputation he was building with parishioners who admired his character and service.
“He had so much love for people, and simply put his trust in a higher power,” Yelena told Hope 103.2.
“Even though he endured so much injustice, he was truly free because he gained this incredible peace and strength that we’re all looking for.
