Worship leader Jason Upton on Hope Nights

Known for his folk-like worship tunes and deeply heartfelt lyrics, Jason Upton is a singer/songwriter whose music has been inviting listeners the world over to encounter their Creator and live a life set in Him.

Since his first album release Key of David in 2000, it was clear that Upton was bringing something different to his work, recording largely spontaneous sets and impromptu songs for his debut.

Although his songs may be ‘formless’ by traditional standards, it’s been no matter for congregations, who 15 albums later are still drawn to his unique style, cementing him as one of the significant worship leaders of our time.

Jason joined Nights presenter Laura Bennett to talk about his new release ‘Glimpse’, how he approaches the notable qualities of his ministry, and his take on the question of whether or not we can be ‘too spiritually minded’.
