The Rubens' Scott Baldwin talks about faith and fame

Since forming in February of last year, this local Sydney band has steadily been building an international fanbase, with critics raving about their debut self-titled project ‘The Rubens’

Recorded at one of the premier studio facilities in New York (with Grammy Award-winning producers to boot) the project captures the full talents of lead singer Sam Margin, along with brothers Elliott and Zaac and drummer Scott Baldwin.

Initially making their mark in the indie circuit, the band are now finding themselves attracting wide commercial attention, and just this week have been nominated for Channel V’s Oz Artist of the Year.

It’s been an adventurous ride so far with their recent national tour also a sell-out, and in amongst it all, drummer Scott has a Christian faith he’s determined to live out along the way.

He recently joined Laura in the Nights studio to talk about the band’s success, how he handles the challenges of the road, and his desire to put relationships with God and people first.
