The books our children read over and over again can leave a lasting impression, including their first experience of the Bible.

Sally Lloyd Jones is a US-based picture book author with more than 17 Christian and secular titles to her name.  Among many others, Sally is the author of The New York Times Notable book How To Be a Baby, By Me, The Big Sister and The Jesus Storybook Bible, which she wrote to help kids understand what the bible is really all about.

A native of England, who spent her childhood in Africa, Sally now lives in New York City, but recently visited Sydney for the first time to speak at the Growing Faith Conference about the importance of reading to children.

Recently she spoke to Katrina Roe about her childhood, her inspiration and what makes a great children’s story.
