The Hope 103.2 team had a blast meeting Hopelanders at Jeremy Camp’s ‘I Still Believe’ show on Sunday, taking selfies with listeners and enjoying the night which they say more closely resembled a worship service than a traditional concert.

“It was a worship night,” Brendan says – his favourite kind of concert. “I hate concerts that are back-to-back tunes. I can get that from Spotify,” Ally adds.

Jeremy took time to encourage everyone to proactively work on their relationship with Jesus.

“You’ve got to continue to stoke that fire,” he said. “You’ve got to continue to spend time with Him, read your Bibles. Go out and walk in His power and His love and actually be the hands and feet of Jesus.”

“It’s always a beautiful feeling of unity to be surrounded by thousands of brothers and sisters worshiping God,” Ally says. “What I love about a concert is when an artist pulls back the veil and gets real, sharing where they were at when they wrote the song.”

This moment was a highlight for Hope team member Kim.

This moment was a highlight for Hope team member Kim. “It was really sweet when Jeremy sang a song with his wife, after opening up about his first wife’s passing, then sang with his daughters.”

And that’s exactly what Jeremy did. Many will be familiar with Jeremy’s journey through grief, having lost his first wife Melissa to cancer in 2001. Melissa’s story featured predominantly on the night, and when his second wife Adrienne joined him on stage for his most recent hit ‘I Still Believe’, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Jeremy talked about the redemption he’s experienced, having lost Melissa despite praying and believing for her healing – and now being blessed with his beautiful wife Adrienne and their precious children, his daughters joining him in an emotional rendition of ‘Give Me Jesus’.

As Ally says, “Jeremy is all about pointing people to God and reminding us He’s with us no matter what. His tour and his life story remind us we can trust in God’s goodness and faithfulness even when grim news headlines or our personal circumstances tell a different story.”

Brittany, one of the Hope team who attended says it was special to see multiple generations worshipping together. “What a night! I loved seeing the generations there together – families from grandparents down to the grandchildren,” she says.

“I loved how black and white Jeremy was about Jesus. His message was so simple yet powerful, just telling people to read their bibles, worship and spend time with Him because He loves us!”

Another Hope team member Jodie agrees and says it was a particularly special moment for her, as she attended with her teenage son. “Jeremy’s lyrics and focus are on pointing people to Jesus in all situations, so for me – being next to my 17 year old son while he was wholeheartedly worshipping God was a personal highlight for me during some of the more worshipful songs,”

She goes on to mention the enthusiasm of Hopelanders who met the team at the Hope stand. “You could really see their positivity toward Hope and what we do – another reminder of the privilege it is to be involved in this ministry.”

Concert-goers were also treated to a few songs by Bella Taylor-Smith, winner of ‘The Voice 2021’, whose enthusiasm and love for God was tangible on the night. About to move to Nashville, it was a wonderful opportunity for Hopelanders to wish her well.

Hope Media's Jodie says it was nice to see Bella's enthusiasm about infusing her love for God into her music as she heads off to live in Nashville.

Thank you for coming out in force, Hopeland. It was a blast!
