You may not know Lynne McGranger’s name, but you would know her face. Lynne has been playing the role of Irene Roberts on Home and Away for almost 30 years.

After graduating from Teachers College and getting experience in the classroom, Lynne knew teaching wasn’t for her. (Many parents might be able to relate to that feeling after the past year or so of pandemic lockdown learning). So, she turned to acting, and got a three-month guest role on Home and Away in 1993.

Almost 30 years later, Lynne said she is still “winging it” and has just released an autobiography called Acting Up: Me Myself & Irene.
