Fans of the iconic 2001 movie, Legally Blonde, can look forward to two new adaptations of the flick.
Reese Witherspoon has announced plans for Legally Blonde 3, being released in 2020 – but in the meantime, you can also take yourself to the theatre to see Legally Blonde – The Musical… showing at Riverside Theatres from July 27.
Mikayla Williams is playing the part made famous by Reese Witherspoon and admits she’s a little daunted by the prospect of taking on such an iconic role. She says the character of Elle, who has to overcome certain stereotypes to forge her own path, is as relevant as ever. As a dog lover, Mikayla is especially excited about working with her very own ‘Bruiser’ – Elle’s much loved chihauhua – live on the stage.
She says she’s been busy practising her Bend and Snap moves ahead of opening night.
