In this episode of the Hope Book Club, Georgia and Simone deep dive into their June read – The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, the award-winning novel by English author Rachel Joyce, which was recently adapted into a film.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry tells the story of Harold Fry, recently retired, who leaves home one morning to post a letter, with his wife hoovering upstairs, and suddenly finds himself on an unexpected pilgrimage, walking from one end of the country to the other.

In The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Harold Fry is the most ordinary of men, yet he just might be a hero for us all!

He has no hiking boots or map, let alone a compass or mobile phone. All he knows is that he must keep walking. To save someone else’s life.

Georgia and Simone jump into just a few of the incredible themes explored in this book – all without spoilers. So, don’t worry if you haven’t read the book, you can still enjoy the podcast.

That’s all in this episode of the Hope Book Club – because life’s just better with a book!
