In honour of Jesus being the light of the world, Lighthouse Church in Wollongong has been lit up like a Christmas tree – that they’re hoping you can see from space after the effort they’ve put in.

A really big Christmas light display has taken over the church led by Paul and Annette Bartlett.

“Normally we have a few that we put up ourselves but we have quite a few [Christmas lights] experts apparently and have covered our church building in Christmas lights… so it’s worth a drive around just to have a look at that,” Paul said.

Quite the tribute to the light of the world celebrated anew each Christmas.

Paul is also the State President of Australian Christian Churches in NSW and ACT (ACC) and he spoke with Hope Afternoons about the “12 Days of Christmas” activities put on by ACC churches and Lighthouse, effectively extending the celebrations of Christmas, as we all need extended joy after the year we’ve had.

“If you would like to sum up the ’12 Days of Christmas’ for us, I would say food and singing,” Paul said.
