SMBC Children’s Ministry Conference – Croydon

At first glance, John’s Gospel is made for children’s ministry because of its many concrete images: vine, shepherd, bread, water.

But you don’t have to scratch the surface very far before you find deep, complex and immeasurably rich ideas that can be tougher to explain to young ears: being born again, feeding on Jesus, remaining in him (to name just a few!).

John’s Gospel is full of simple language and big concepts.

So how do we take the rich delights of John’s Gospel and explain them well to our kids – that they may believe?
