Hills Fair Trade Market – Castle Hill

The market will include over 20 stalls from over 20 countries, all under cover, that will sell a wide range of Fair-Trade goods for all ages including handicrafts, jewellery, clothing and confectionary. Ample off-street parking will be available, along with a café, a range of hot food and snacks.

The Fair-Trade movement is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

The market is being organised by the Hills Justice Project, a group made up of Christians from various churches in the Hills District of Sydney.

AATFA State Final NSW

Are you or is your child in High School and 13–19 years old and interested in Fashion Design?

The student creates an outfit/design for one of four categories (Casual Wear (includes swimwear, etc), Formal Wear, Wearable art, Costume and Theatrical and Society and Environment. Yourself or one of your friends gets to wear it down the runway where it will be judged and prizes awarded.

Wearable art and Society and Environment are judged differently, so you can be as creative as you like with your construction of your garment (dresses made from flowers, leaves, even wood!) Winners go to Melbourne for Nationals to compete for 1st place!

Church Event: New College Lectures – Kensington

Faith, Hope & Love – Unchanging Virtues for a Changing World – The Anglican and Catholic Archbishops of Sydney, Glenn Davies and Anthony Fisher, will participate in this first set of public lectures in Australian history to be jointly delivered by Anglican and Catholic Archbishops.

The Archbishops will articulate the importance and relevance of faith, hope and love for contemporary Australian society at a time when competing voices and institutions wrestle to define and influence the national conversation.

Both Archbishops will present on each of the three nights, followed by a Q&A with the media and members of the community. The series will be moderated by distinguished historian and broadcaster, Dr Meredith Lake.
