Listen: Megan McLoughlin, founder of the "Herd of Hope" charity, chats to Sam and Duncan

Megan McLoughlin is full of hope and passion to do good. After finding herself legally blind and in renal failure, she experienced firsthand the challenges that both organ donor and recipient families face.

After recovering from her own kidney transplant, she chose to use her experiences to help others. She is the founder of the charity Herd of Hope, which promotes organ donation, and supports families in regional and rural Australia who are affected by the organ donation process. Her work was recognised this year as she was named Local Hero for South Australia for 2019.

They have also partnered with the University of South Australia to fund research into the impact transplant recipients and their carers face in regional and rural areas.

Megan spoke with Sam & Duncan during this Donate Life Week to talk about her dream of setting cattle loose on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the important of organ donation.
