Residents along Australia’s east coast were hit hard earlier this year with the devastatingly destructive wind, rain and floods from Cyclone Debbie. Communities from Northern Queensland right down to New South Wales’ North Rivers districts are in long-term recovery and the Australian Red Cross are busy helping individuals reclaim their lives. Shona Whitton Director of Emergency Recovery Red Cross explains the long-term recovery process disaster victims will go through over the next 18 months.
